Francisco Villa: Narratives and Communication in a Multimodal Perspective for the Description of the Debate between 2019-2024

Abstract
Through a bibliographic investigation in both closed and open databases, it was found that, according to Paul Ricoeur, the narrative about Villa remains a mediating practice and an ongoing debate. Based on multimodal communication, five themes were developed: Villa and his current media presence, Villa in corridos and literature, Villa and identity, Villa and the issue of violence, and Villa as a self-mediated figure in film and the press. The revolutionary understood the importance of multimodality in the construction of his image. After his physical death, though not in memory, his life, persona, and actions have become more than just a historical character in a textbook; they constitute a living debate that remains relevant in a multimodal context.
