LA GÉNESIS CRÍTICA DE LA HERMENÉUTICA EN LA FILOSOFÍA DE LA VOLUNTAD DE PAUL RICOEUR

Abstract

In this paper we will suggest an analysis of the thinking of Ricoeur moderately through the practices of the systematics of hermeneutics as a technique of interpretation, which is usually the way to analyze it, in order to focus on his hermeneutic 
turn, made in the fifties, in his Philosophy of the Will; What seems relevant to this period is the opportunity it offers to understand the interests and demands of the French philosopher to move from phenomenology to hermeneutics. We bet that one of these reasons consists less in the instrumental value of hermeneutics and more in its value as a critical reaction to the stage of  philosophical thought in the West, mainly as regards the erosion of metaphysical characteristics in the theoretician and the failed project of modernity. This will involve, then, entering the hermeneutics, not by the long process of its insertion into the field of philosophical methodologies, but as the most obvious link or consequence of the philosophical nihilisms of the 19th and 20th centuries, perhaps not so much as progression in the task of the dissolution of values, but in respect to the weakening of reason.
However, the claim will not consist in forcing a reading of Ricoeur to the degree of wanting to see him as a nihilist philosopher, but in recognizing his commitment to the meaning and referentiality of truth, but you cannot do anything other than light of rejection a certain canonical pretension of understanding that seeks to objectify the totality of experience under the conditions of a certain type of specific understanding.
