Abstract

This article discuses the relation between beauty and unity from the point of view of the history of aesthetics and metaphysics, and focuses its analysis in the critic to the rationalist school which considers beauty as an idea of perfection. This article also proposes alternative ways to reflect about beauty and metaphysic staying apart from dogmatism.
