EDUCACIÓN PARA LA EMANCIPACIÓN
MEMORIA, AUTOCRÍTICA Y ESPERANZA, EN LA TEORÍA CRÍTICA
Abstract
In this paper we reflect on the task of education, especially from the semantic content of this activity is loaded during Modernity, as “overcoming the guilty minority” and as a way of emancipation. Appealing to the perspective of Critical Theory, we propose that the aspiration illustrated a majority cannot be self-referential or blindly because it can lead to authoritarianism and barbarity. The thesis we propose to hold is: an emancipatory education is always open to the future, in a perspective of progress and human improvement, however, is precisely its germ memory, especially the memory of human negativity, i.e. memory about the evil that cannot (and should not) be, evil cannot overcome the evil that cannot be repeated.
