Study of welfare indicators by federal entity in Mexico using principal component analysis

Abstract
The quality of life in a country is debatable, and controversial study has been given the different perspectives of measurement for many years. In this paper a study on living standards by state in Mexico is presented. The importance lies in the interest of proposing a methodology that points to the proper establishment of strategies to improve the welfare of people’s lives. For it has been raised using the technique of principal component analysis to describe the pattern in the variables considered and that are directly related to the quality of life in a certain State in Mexico. The preliminary results and conclusions will let us know what and at what level these characteristics are related.
