Volume 1, number 1 of Pedagogía Infinita brings together ten relevant articles that address the great educational challenges in Mexico and other Latin American contexts, from the digital revolution to social inclusion and innovative assessments to prepare students and teachers for a technological future. It starts with the integration of artificial intelligence in higher education, inspired by international organizations such as UNESCO, ECLAC and OECD, which promises personalized learning, less cognitive stress and skills for a labor market dominated by AI. Another study detects priorities such as enhancing teaching roles, making classes more flexible and cultivating digital skills to go beyond digitizing the old. Regarding reading comprehension, the analysis of the Rapa Nui unit in PISA 2018 shows that 60.8% of Mexican students stay at basic levels, while breaking down with Cognitive Routes what skills are needed for complex texts. In Nursing at UNAM, integrative activities with service-learning unite the professional experience of distance students with real clinical challenges. Factors such as an internal locus of control, good performance and high socioeconomic status drive postgraduate expectations in EXANI-II applicants, according to logistic regression, calling for combating inequalities. An Educational Leadership course with DIA methodology achieves practical changes in teachers. Pilots’ standout such as Ceneval's Creativa Mente to measure creative fluency in 84 students, the curricular network to validate Public Safety exams and InFamiSTEM, which uses a logical framework to encourage girls towards STEM through families. It closes with a study on indigenous communities in Yutniotik, Chiapas, where the SEM links low educational levels with mass migration, urging inclusion to stop youth flight and care for cultural identities. All these works invite us to reflect on bold policies for equitable and competitive education.
